What the series changes
A best-of-five format creates a longer match and more room for lead changes than a single flip or best-of-three series.
The match stops as soon as one side reaches 3 wins, so it can finish before all5 possible flips are used.

What the series does not change
With independent unbiased flips, Heads and Tails still have equal probability of winning the complete series. More rounds do not make the random source intrinsically fairer and do not remove normal streaks.
